Hampton & Richmond Borough are delighted to announce their own dedicated, regular online magazine.
Named ‘From the Blazer Pocket’ (following comments from a local rival!), the online magazine will hopefully shine a light into the club, from the First team through the Academy, the Ladies, the Pan Disability and to the Youth section as well as the volunteers behind the scenes.
Designed and planned to work alongside the excellent match programme, it is hoped that it will be come a part of supporters matchday routine as well as something to read in the quiet moments during the week.
Editor Rob Overfield is enthusiastic about the possibilities.
“Its the result of a discussion with new chairman Jacques le Bars at the end of last season, who was looking for something different, something that would give the club a niche within the National League South, and this is what resulted.
“Its designed to be read on smartphones and tablets primarily, and this will give so much freedom in future design-wise as it evolves.
“We’ll also be encouraging fan involvement as we will look to provide a platform for budding writers and journalists within the club, plus any advertising will allow the reader to click straight through to the advertisers own website immediately.
“Digital publishing, outside of match programmes, is a developing and expanding sector and hopefully this will establish the club as one that’s thinking for the future.”
