Since we started, the total weight of donated food and other items you have given through our collections has reached a huge 829.18kg! Apparently, this is the approximate weight of 2000 standard footballs or as Caroline told us at the Richmond Foodbank, the weight of a female giraffe!
At the start, we set ourselves a target of donating 1 tonne of food before the end of the season, so we need to collect 170.82kg of food and other items needed at the next two home games to reach that target!
We always ask the Foodbank what items are needed so that we can also target our collections and purchases with the donation money received.
At the moment, they are in need of the items below, but anything you would like to donate will always be appreciated:
If you don’t have time to add any of the needed items to your weekly shop, we will be converting any cash that is donated this Saturday into groceries to add to the collection.
We would also like to say a very big thank you to Brand Learning in Hampton Wick, who have been collecting for us, and have donated 4 large boxes of food.
An amazing donation and a very big thank you.
As always, your generosity is appreciated and really does help neighbours in our great community.
