FORMER manager Alan Devonshire's son helped Hampton & Richmond Borough secure the loan capture of Millwall striker Tobi Alabi.
The 6ft 2ins 18 year old, who joins the club on loan until the 20th February, has been a regular for Millwall’s academy side this year and made his Beavers debut in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Dartford.
But the move was helped along by Lee Devonshire, son of Alan Devonshire, a legend at Millwall's bitter rivals West Ham, who was Hampton manager up until leaving for Braintree last summer.
His replacement as Hampton boss, Mark Harper, said: “Tobi was actually recommended to us by Lee Devonshire, Alan's son, who works in football too and certainly knows a player.
"I was hoping to bring in a more experienced striker, but you don't turn down the opportunity to take on a young prospect from a Championship club."
