Tomorrow night the Beavers kick of their 2012/13 season with the visit of neighbours Brentford FC. Kick off is 7.45pm at the Accord Beveree Stadium. The game has been brought forward from Friday 13th so we are asking all supporters to pass this information on to anyone they know is attending and may not have seen the updates on the website, Twitter or Facebook.
Tomorrow is also the first game where a full paying adult can bring in up to 2 school children for free. This offer is in place for the whole season so it’s a perfect opportunity to encourage new supporters to Beveree to support the club.
Manager Mark Harper has been busy developing his squad for the coming season as the aim for the side is a swift return to the Conference South. Already Harps has bolstered his squad with the capture of the experienced Max Hustwick from Lewes and there are several more exciting signings on the horizon. From last season’s squad several players have already signed up for the coming season as the make up of the squad starts to take shape.
Mark has named the following squad for tomorrow’s match, so supporters can start googling to ensure that they can put a face to a name tomorrow evening.
Craig Ross, Rodney Chiweshe, Josh Webb, Max Hustwick, Dean Inman, Neil Jenkins, Alan Bray, Darren Powell, Liam Bartle, Sam Rushworth, Alex Capel, Karle Carder, Joe Turner, Tom Hickey, JJ Bates, Charlie Moone, Vittorino Giarletta, Joe Bennett
There may be additional names on the squad list come tomorrow night though! Both James Simmonds and Billy Jeffreys are currently in the USA with their respective works and Josh Huggins is not available.
Brentford will be bringing down a strong squad for their first pre-season friendly of the season as they enter an exciting period following the purchase of the Lionel Road site near Kew Bridge and some excellent early season acquisitions. Last season the Bees were 6-1 winners at Beveree with Stuart Duff scoring the only goal for the home side.
The Beavers will be wearing the sky blue away kit which this season is being sponsored by Ginger Monkeys who are a creative marketing company from Tunbridge Wells who we welcome to the club and thank Trevor and his team for his sponsorship this coming season.
Tomorrow also sees the launch of the new match day programme under the control of new editors James Waddon and Will Downing who have been working hard over the summer to give the programme an overhaul. Tomorrow’s issue is priced at £2.50 and can be picked up from the Supporters Trust.
