Hampton & Richmond Ladies Reserves 3 Sutton Utd Reserves 0

Hampton take the win against Sutton.
A second home game in as many weeks for the reserves who were looking to improve from their defeat last week. Hampton at first got off to a slow start with Sutton keen on making us pay for the 0-1 victory in the reverse fixture. putting us under very early pressure almost scoring from some great attacking wing play this made even harder from some good possession held from the midfield.
Our own defensive midfielders had to work hard to try and break up the play whilst Sutton were taking control, this they did with confidence, keeping the game very much 50/50. After a few good counter attacks from the beavers it was evident to see we had rode the storm & would soon be reaping the rewards if we kept up the pace.
It was looking like a 0-0 at half time & with a few moments to go a fresh pair of legs in striking form replaced Martha for Amy Trowles who on her first touch of the game put the ball into the back of the net with a forceful cross in from R/Winger Rachel H.
1-0 to the Beavers.
Additional changes were made to our midfield with Rosie L on for Jessie, Katie D on for Tansey & Alanna on for Trudy. Most of the work was clearly made in the first half as our newly refreshed midfield took control with almost every ball, attempt after attempt was defended very well. A long range shot was unlucky not to have gone in from Alanna who was enjoying the freedom to attack and thread the ball to the wings, one such ball played through to Katie D was sent dangerously across the box found Amy T for her second of the game.
Amy's third & final goal of the game came in the shape of some excellent build up play with new team mate Charlotije helping out almost assisting one of the many great passes to the striker, unfortunately the goal keeper had other ideas on those occasions. However the hatrick was completed from a through ball kindly sent forward from Rosie L with deadly precision.
3-0 To the Beavers.
Fantastic displays from everyone involved today none more so than the solid defending to keep the clean sheet, the speed, control & press from midfield to the calm patient finishing from the forward. A good day at the office.
" I'm extremely proud of all my players today, they played with plenty of passion & confidence, it was important to score the first goal & control the midfield which i feel we achieved, defence was solid throughout"
