Youth Day Review

1 year ago By Stefan Rance

Last Saturday saw our teams take centre stage ahead of the first team game with Concord Rangers....

Our normal Saturday training was relocated to the training pitch at Beveree as part of the day. The first session for our Under 6's to Under 8's (plus Under 10 Stags!) saw Dowse and Leon Soloman helping out Simon, Howard and Steve from Onside. There was some great skills on display during the session and at the end 'Super' Simon led the boys in a spot of chanting.

The second session saw the Under 9's and 10's join together to form a six team tournament with Sam Howes & Josh Casey joining Dowse, Leon, Steve Bates and Youth Team Secretary Stef Rance in putting their honour on the line. The competition on the sidelines was tough whilst all the boys enjoyed the slight tweak on the session.

All players and parents were invited to attend the afternoon game with a club photo taking place at 1.30pm ahead of the game. Our Under 7's and 8's led the teams out as mascots with the Under 9's and 10's providing a guard of honour and then at half time our older age groups welcomed the players back in.

All the players and parents enjoyed the day and we'd like to thank Dowse, Josh, Leon & Sam for coming down early and the guys from Onside for putting on another great session.
