Weekend Round Up - 31st January

Despite the poor weather this past weekend there was still enough action taking place across the age groups with some tight games and some exceptional

Stars of the weekend were the Under 11 Colts whose hard work and dedication paid off as they picked up their first win of the season in style as they defeated Kew Park Rangers 5-0 at Bushy Park. With manager Paul Kinchin resplendent in the new HRBFC managers gear he inspired his troups to a great win. The Under 11 Youth drew 4-4 against a good Old Isleworthian Red’s team with Suryaksh Tewatia scoring a hat-trick, however Kofi Osei-Owusu was also a star of the team with a late penalty save which kept the team in it.

The Under 12 Colts made it 9 games unbeaten with a 4-1 win against Staines Town, Tom Farrell and Tom Webb both scoring a couple each. The Under 12 Youth also had a solid 5-1 win over Surrey Predators with Wagih Eldakhakhny scoring a brace for his side. The Under 13 Colts lost 7-1 to Sheen Lions pride, however progress has been made as they previously played Sheen and lost 14-1.

Another side on a good run are the Under 17s who are now six unbeaten following a 2-1 win over second place Albury with Freddie Kemm and James Flanagan scoring. At Under 14 the Youth side lost 3-1 to Kingstonian whilst the Colts had a 5-5 thriller against Epsom and Ewell.

In the younger age groups the Under 10 Youth lost 6-3 having been 3-1 up at half time but a couple of own goals didn’t help their cause and the 10 Colts lost 4-1 against Spelthorne Sports Stars with Max Thompson scoring for the side.

At Under 9’s the Trophy tournaments continues with the Under 9 Bucks losing 3-1 at Worcester Park in a game in which the team hit the post 4 times and saw a penalty saved. The Under 9 Colts game was postponed. The Under 8 Stags lost 6-4 to Esher Wizards in an exciting game, whilst the Under 8 Colts won 5-2 against Bedfont & Feltham. In the youngest age group the Under 7 Colts won 12-2 whilst the Under 7 Stags lost 8-0
