HRBFC Youth - Weekend Round Up 22nd Novermber

3 years ago By Stefan Rance

As we reached the penultimate week in November there was continued cup runs and trophy success for the teams this week.

The Under 13’s played their postponed cup game from last week and defeated Claygate 8-1 to progress to the quarter finals. The goals came from Liam O’Callaghan (2), Joe Grieco (2), Jake Brown, Ellis Pringle, Ronnie Girvan & Ben O’Reilly.

For the younger age groups there were the final games in the Trophy section for Under 10’s and 9’s and Tournament days for the Under 8’s. At Under 10’s the Youth lost 5-2 to Barnes Eagles and Colts suffered their first defeat in a few weeks at Walton Jaguars, going down 3-0 .

There was success for the Under 9 Bucks as they topped their group after the three games, a 3-1 win over Westside Colts ensuring top spot, a brace from Savan Soni and a good individual goal from Jack Lay earning the points. The Under 9 Colts suffered their first defeat of the season going down 8-2 to Kew Park Rangers, the game was much closer with the Colts hitting the post on several occasions, goals coming from Riley Vaughan and Ellis Terry-Bourne. An under strength Stags side lost 10-0 to Kew Association.

Within the Under 8s age group the Bucks stated with a 2-0 defeat to Halliford Colts before defeating Old Isleworthians 1-0 thanks to Alfie Reed before defeating Sutton United 3-0 with Chester Gregory and Cameron Glassup amongst the goals. The Under 8 Stags lost their first 2 games in their tournament 3-1 to Corinthian Casuals and Bedfont Eagles before beating Ashford Town 2-0

At Under 7’s the Colts lost 7-5 in a thrilling game at Claygate Royals and the Stags won 13-5 in a goal fest for both sides at Manorcroft United Juniors.

At Under 15 the Youth side lost 3-0 at league leaders Crookham Rovers, who have not lost a Premier Elite fixture in 2 years and gave Crookham their toughest game of the season. The Under 14 Girls gained a measure of revenge for their defeat earlier in the season with a 9-2 win over Mole Valley, however the result was overshadowed with an injury to Maddie Parker-Andrew who will now miss a chunk of the season following a knee injury.

The Under 12 Colts lost for the second week in a row to Barnes Eagles, again a narrow game but losing 2-1 in the end, whilst the Under 12 Youth lost their first game of the season 5-3 to a good Elm Grove Colts side in a competitive and physical match up.

The Under 11 Youth’s winning streak also ended this week with a 5-3 defeat at Badshot Lea with Kyan Soni, Suryaksh Tewatia and an own goal finding the net for the side. The Under 11 Colts were very close to getting a win this weekend, eventually going down by the odd goal in 7 to Hanworth Sports. Goals coming from Louis Marshall, Alex Geangos and Daniel Edge.

Finally the Under 14 Youth had a great 2-1 win over Halliford Colts with Kieran Farrell and Brandon Zapanta scoring. The Under 14 Colts lost 6-2 to Ashford Town in their game.
