HRBFC Youth Programme Notes - Met Police

By Stefan Rance

It’s not just about the Boys....

Hampton & Richmond Borough Youth Girls will kick off their inaugural season in the Surrey County Girls league this season having spent 3 seasons in the Capital Girls League from Under 11 to Under 13.

Last season they, again, won their league. In their 15 league games they won 14 and lost only 1, winning the league by 5 points from Larkspur Rovers. The previous year in the first phase the team won 4 and lost 1 before winning all 12 games in the second phase of the league section to claim overall victory. In their first season at Under 11 they won 7 and lost 2 to win the league first time out.

During their first 3 seasons the team also won several league cups along the way.

A new challenge awaits Graham and his team with the move to the Surrey Girls League. They will be moving from Saturday to Sunday football and, having been based at Bushy Park on the 9 aside pitch for the past 2 seasons, will be playing their home games at Kingsfield on one of our 11 aside pitches. There will be new teams to face and new rivalries to be made.

As with the boys team the ultimate aim is to provide the ladies team with players and continue to develop girls football under the Hampton & Richmond Borough banner.

We are grateful to all our sponsors for their continued support of the players and their contribution to helping the club run. Some of our teams are on the lookout for sponsors so if your company can help in anyway then contact us via the website
