Its been all change in the Ladies team over the summer.
Last season's manager Leah Ambridge decided to take a step back from the team during the summer, and we thank her for all the work she put in during her time with the team in the last couple of years.
To replace her, the club are delighted to announce Andy Hatcher as the new team manager and he's already looking forward to the challenge.
Speaking to club press officer Rob during the last week, he was already impressed with what he's seen.
"I am delighted with the opportunity of joining Hampton and Richmond Borough FC, and I am really looking forward to working with the ladies team. Every member of staff that I have met at the club has been very warm and welcoming."
He has cast his eye over the team as it is at this moment and he clearly likes what he sees.
"The ladies squad has great ability, along with a really positive attitude, which is a strong platform to start with as I am a firm believer in the principles of developing both a player’s technical ability and their attitude towards themselves and others."
"The squad has a healthy balance of young and experienced players, which is really important in the style of football we want to play at a high level. Along with ensuring that we maintain a healthy flow of players coming through as the future of the team."
In addition, the team has a whole new committee in place to face the coming season in the Greater London Women's League.
Player Bianca Underhill has stepped into the general secretary role, with Nicole Cherry becoming the Treasurer, and Jodie McNamara will be looking after locating the right training facilities. In addition, the club's press officer, Rob Overfield, has volunteered to take on the Fixture Secretary position as well as making sure the team's website presence is right up to date.
We welcome them into their new roles and wish them every success!
