Ladies Team- Managers Corner with Leah Ambridge

4 years ago By Emma Marlow

Leah rounds up her first few weeks in charge of the Ladies Team

Despite only taking over the team a matter of weeks ago, I am extremely happy with the way things have panned out so far. The level of commitment I have seen from the girls has been outstanding. The teams enthusiasm to learn, develop and work well as a unit, despite a change in management has been faultless. We have added new players to the side who have allowed us to play players in different positions, becoming a much more dynamic team. I have received a lot of support from the club in taking over the side, how the transition was made easier by the ladies adaptability and openness to my style of play.

Sunday 19th we narrowly lost to a Denham side made up of some 1st team players from 4 divisions above us. The girls fought to the final whistle and I couldn't have asked for more. The hard work continued to this Sunday where the girls won 3-1 in a brilliant team performance and I was extremely proud of the team for the dedication and strength of the side.

Our focus this season will be winning the league and I believe if we continue as we have been doing, it is definitely within our reach. We are currently unbeaten in the league and we hope that this can continue into future games. November will be a tough month with some big games but I believe strongly in the team and our ability and know we can go far!
