After having taken the reins ahead of the John Greenacre Memorial Trophy victory at the weekend, the new person in charge of the Ladies first team is Kat Browne and she clearly has plenty to offer the club.
Kat is currently the Academy Assistant Director at Dorking Wanderers, and in the past she has had roles at clubs in the WSL. She has also been involved with Motspur Park, and with Surrey Intermediate League team Woking & Horsell FC. In addition, she will be joined by assistant manager and goalkeeping coach Jaymie Bailey.
Speaking on Monday, Kat was definitely enthusiastic for her new role.
"I’m really excited to join Hampton & Richmond Borough Ladies FC as their first team manager. Both the Reserves and the First team are a fantastic group, with a lot of potential, and character.
As a female who works within the male side of the game, I’m looking forward to bridging that gap in my journey and go to the next level with Hampton & Richmond Borough Ladies.
With the ambition that is in the dressing room, it is a fantastic opportunity to come on board with the aspirations to work towards my UEFA A licence, and create something special not only with the squad, but with (reserves manager) Josh and Jaymie as well.
I cannot wait to get started with what I’m sure will be an exciting time for Ladies football within the club!”
Welcome to the club, Kat!
