Swing Lowe! Jamal set Beavers on course
Two first half goals from Jamal Lowe took the Beavers to second in the Ryman Premier, as Bognor were outplayed on a sodden Beveree.
Jerome Federico set the early tone as he sprinted past Crane and crossed to Jamal Lowe, whose shot flew over the bar from the edge of the box.
Just afterwards, Brendan Kiernan was the next recipient of a Federico cross, but he couldn't get his shot on target either as Bognor looked shell-shocked.
On the quarter hour, Lowe took advantage of a slip by Sami El-Abd to drive forward and slip a pass to Nicke Kabamba, who went high over the bar.
It was all Hampton as Bognor found it hard to deal with Federico and Lowe, and on 21 minutes, the Beavers took the lead.
Jamal Lowe managed to find some room on the left hand side and cracked a sweet shot from the angle of the box past Grant Smith in the Rocks goal and into the corner of the net.
Federico's trickery down the right was taking its toll on the poor left back James Crane and just before the half hour, the defender found himself receiving a yellow card when it could so easily have been a red.
Hampton twisted the knife a little further just before halftime as Lowe chased down a long ball, and muscling his way onto it against Bognor's Doug Tuck, managed to find enough space to crash a powerful shot past Smith from the edge of the box, when it looked he might have left himself too much to do.
The Beavers opened the second half in a positive mood and a neat passing move ended with Kiernan playing in Lowe, whose shot needed two attempts to clear by the struggling Bognor defence.
60 seconds later, Kiernan had a chance at a 'route one' goal as a kick from Mark Smith bounced over the defenders, his volley being too high to trouble Grant Smith.
Kiernan and Lowe both had further chances, but with 20 minutes to go, as the Beavers began to tire, Craig Robson managed to get the visitors on the scoresheet from a loose corner but it proved to be their only goal, as deep in injury time, a scuffle in the box between Jason Prior and Moussa Diarra meant yellow cards for both and Prior's dismissal for his second booking.
