Beavers Rooked by late penalty

Another draw for Beavers amidst Seb Brown being shown the red card late on in a game they had the best of.
For the second game running, a defensive mishap has seen points snatched from the Beavers grasp, leaving them with 2 points this week, when it could easily have been 6 and much higher up the table.
With players returning from injury, Hampton started strong and were soon creating chances and on 13 minutes they got their reward.
A Ryan Newman free kick was lifted high to hang up in the breeze; Moussa Diarra managed to wrestle himself free of the defender and nod a header through keeper Godman's legs to give the Beavers another good start.

Seb Brown came out and tried to control the ball past Laing to give time to clear the ball, but Laing was too quick and in the tangle inside the box, the referee deemed that Seb had prevented a goal scoring opportunity and sent him from the field.
Matte Pierson had a frantic scramble to get ready, Rheo Josephs being the one making way. When he got between the sticks 3 minutes later, Redwood stepped up and lashed the ball into the net calmly to give the Rooks a share of the game they hadn’t much looked like earning.
The 10 men held firm for the remaining minutes but a point could so easily have been 3, leaving Dowse frustrated over where the team could be…
