RYAN Moss's second half goal meant the Beavers took their first batch of three points midweek but Dowse knows they need to step it up this weekend.
Although the Sports haven't yet taken a point so far this season, that's not that big an issue yet for any team, although the fact of them conceding 6 goals against Braintree and Havant in their first couple of games suggests the defence is still bedding down.
Given the attacking possibilities open to Dowse, the right combination could prove devastating for the Beavers if the Eastbourne defence is still creaking.
With Jerome Federico leaving the club, Taurean Roberts and Kyle Spence will be looking to provide that attacking spirit, with Brendan Kiernan and Max Kretzschmar providing the other creative forces for the Beavers.
Defensively, Jack Cook, Claudiu Vilcu and Nathan Collier have been sound, and after last season, clean sheets for Sam Howes are great news. With Wassmer to return after suspension, there looks to be some promising vibes from the backs.
Duncan Culley will no doubt be itching to get out there and ruffle a few feathers on the field, and fight Ryan Moss for that starting spot.
Kick off tomorrow is 3pm, prices are £12 for adults, £7 for concessions, £3 for under 16s and under 5s free.
