A surprise guest at the Middlesex FA Senior Cup Final

FORMER England Under-21 manager Stuart Pearce was a welcome guest at The Beveree on Tuesday night – but he and Sky Sports TV colleague Martin Tyler found themselves on opposite sides at the Middlesex Senior Cup final against Wealdstone.

The pair were on duty for Sky in Poland during the summer for the European Under-21 Championships, where Martin mentioned the delayed final. It had to be held over because of the Beavers’ involvement in the National League South play-offs.

Stuart, who spent the early days of his playing career at Wealdstone, promised to get along to the match with his partner, Carol. They watched from the sidelines as Martin took up his usual position in the Hampton technical area on Tuesday.

After the game, they were able to catch up for a chat and pose for this picture in the manager’s office.
