The Ladies began their season last weekend and for the first time, they have a reserve setup.
Managed by Paul Trowles, the Reserves have joined the Greater London Women's Football League in Division 3 South and will be playing their games at Hanworth Villa.
Unfortunately, their debut match was not the best; and although they tried hard, they ended going down 5-0 to Peckham Town last Sunday.
Speaking after the match, Paul said "The ladies first home game at the Beveree was most certainly an eyeopener and a bit daunting for some. A defeat wasn't part of the plan and we will continue to all work hard in creating a solid team for the future. Plenty of positives in player character after the game which will help massively as the season progresses".
"Excellent goalkeeping from Edie Kelly who was busier than anticipated and received the player of the match".
Captain Becky Payne said afterwards "Today was always going to be tough, but I'm so proud of everyone, despite losing, they never gave up. We now have a platform to focus for the coming weeks."
In contrast, the 1st team under Andy Hatcher, played their first match of the season also on Sunday.
Not in the league but in the SSE Women's FA Cup and held off a strong QPR Ladies Development team from the GLWFL Premier Division on their own ground, to win 1-0 and gain entry to the next round.
Well done, and a mention to keeper Jenna Morris, who the rest of the team declared the Player of the Match for her outstanding display, letting nothing past.
Captain Kate Foster was well satisfied after the match.
"Everyone put a huge shift in and we worked hard as a team. Things are coming together nicely, and I'm so excited for the coming season."
