The club are delighted to announce that a grant has been awarded towards a refurbishment of the main stand and covered terrace.
The Beavers have been awarded almost £68,000 from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund to allow the club to work on improving the stands, following recent discussions with the Sports Grounds Safety Authority and also Richmond Borough Council.
This will mean that the ground will be able to maintain the current capacity and also to make sure the ground continues to conform with the FA National Ground Grading criteria required for us in the National League South.

A project to refurbish two stands at Hampton & Richmond Borough FC (HRBFC) in West Middlesex has been awarded funding by the Premier League, through the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF). As sister organisation of the Football Foundation, the FSIF are the largest funders of non-league football in the country.
The £67,568 FSIF grant will enable HRBFC, which plays in the Vanarama National League South at Step 2, to undertake the necessary safety improvements required to maintain their current capacity.
This work is being undertaken following discussions with the Sports Grounds Safety Authority and local council to ensure continued conformance with the FA National Ground Grading criteria.
When the work is complete, the club will benefit from substantial and vital improvements to spectator accommodation in the main terracing and seating stands at the Jezzards Beveree Stadium.
Phil Weller, Hampton & Richmond Borough FC Director and Chairman of the Supporters’ Trust, said: “We are grateful to the FSIF and the Premier League for their significant financial support; which will mean that the Club will be able to continue to provide a safe and comfortable environment for visitors of all ages to our welcoming and characterful stadium."
Peter McCormick OBE, Chairman of the Football Stadia Improvement Fund, said: “It is great to hear that a grant from the Premier League, through the FSIF, is going to help Hampton & Richmond Borough FC to refurbish their terraced and seated stands to bring them up to the necessary safety standards.
“Through the FSIF, the Premier League is committed to improving the standard of infrastructure at all levels of the game. It is important that investment makes its way to lower league clubs, and Hampton & Richmond Borough FC’s refurbished works is a great example of what this funding can do.”
The FSIF is funded with £6.5m each year from the Premier League. It is the country’s largest provider of grants towards projects that help improve the comfort and safety of lower-league football grounds in both the professional and amateur game. These improvements range from new football stands and turnstiles to floodlighting and improved provision for disabled supporters.
