Foodbank Collection - Concord Rangers game

By Rob Overfield

Update from recent collections

That is the number of kilograms of food that you as Hampton and Richmond Borough Football Club supporters and visitors donated to our local community Foodbank on the last collection.

Included in that amount was a large plastic crate of Easter Eggs, which will be a lovely treat for those going through difficult times.

The volunteers at the Foodbank are so appreciative to everyone for the support and told us again what a difference we are making to those who find themselves in need for one reason or another.

We will be collecting again at our home match against Concord Rangers on Saturday 16th March.

Below is the list of items the Foodbank have said they are in short supply of at the moment:

Shaving Foam
Washing tablets/powder (not liquid, as this can not be shared out)
Tinned Carrots / Green Beans / Potatoes / Mushrooms etc.
Nappies (sizes 5 and 6)
Rice Pudding
Peanut Butter

As always, if you don’t have time to add any of the items to your weekly shop, we will be converting any cash that is donated this Saturday into as much of the needed items as possible.

We will also be adding credit to more of the donated oyster cards so that people don’t have to walk a long way with the donations after visiting the Foodbank.

If anyone is not able to attend the match and would still like to donate, we are happy to arrange collection when convenient to you. Please email us on to arrange a collection.

Again, a massive thank you for your continued support with helping us as a club and Trust support our local community, and thank you to Melissa and Nigel who make this possible.
