Reserves 1 v 2 Eastbourne Borough

A failure to take their chances again cost the Reserves 3 points in a game they dominated for long periods on Saturday,  Good opportunities were wasted by numerous players before sloppy defending allowed an Eastbourne player to finish well from the edge of the box.  More chances were created and wasted before thr break and the side went in 1 down.  The second half was slightly more even although again Hampton created more of the openings but again failed to take them before a sloppy few minutes ended with a deflected strike putting Eastbourne 2 up.  Duff eventually pulled one back for the reserves with a good strike and the side pushed for the equaliser which they were unable to find.  Hampton had 21 shots to Eastbournes 4 but only worked the keeper with 5 of the 21, this has been the major problem for the side this season and an area that needs improving quickly.  Jamel Wojtczak was the stand out performer for the Reserves.  Louis Ray Beadle returned and played an hour and provided some excellent attacking play. Overall a good performance from the side until the final 3rd.
