The Reserves progressed to the Quarter Finals of the Suburban League Challenge Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Met Police. An excellent start saw Hampton 2 up after 15 minutes, a 25 yard free kick from Sousa Mota was shortly followed by a drive from similar distance by Turner after good work from Blythe and Peace. Hampton had other early chances but 16 year ols Nathan Antwi was unable to take these failing to hit the target on each occasion. The final part of the half saw Met Police on top as Hampton began to lose concentration and allow sloppiness to creep into their play, an excellent double save from Stojsavlejevic just before the break kept the score at 2-0 for half time.
The 2nd half started a more even contest, with Met Police looking dnagerous and more threatening as the half wore on. Hampton got their third after 70 minutes, a great run by Johson fed Peace, who then found Bennett who found the corner. After this Hampton had numerous chances to increase their lead, excellent chances for Kuta, Peace, Johnson and Turner all failed to add to the score. Met Police eventually found the back of the net in the final minute only to see it ruled out for offside.
Another very good performance from the side in which the starting 11 contained two 16 year olds, two 17 year olds and five 18 year olds.
