After testing training matches against Partick Thistle and Walton & Hersham, the Beavers now come home to face Aldershot Town at Beveree this weekend.
Last season, the Shots finished 5th in the National League table but were beaten 5-2 on aggregate in the playoffs against Tranmere Rovers, and they will be no doubt looking to improve on that this season.
There'll be a familiar face to the Beavers this weekend, as our keeper in the Isthmian League title run-in, Mark Smith, is one of Gary Waddock's boys and will no doubt have good memories of that time.
Waddock and Dowse know each other of old, back in Millwall days, and there's no doubt there will be a large dose of friendly rivalry on the pitch on Saturday afternoon.
Dowse will be picking from his full squad for the game and is expected to try out a few triallists as well as he is looking to expand the squad.
Admittance on Saturday will be free for season ticket holders (Robbie Brownett is expected to be there for you to collect yours from, if you've ordered one) and for everyone else, it's just £7 for adults and £4 for all concessions.
