Beavers look to Iron out issues

1 year ago By Rob Overfield

Defeat during the week not ideal for Hampton

Tuesday's narrow 1-0 defeat at Hemel Hempstead, despite the Beavers creating plenty of chances, left the team knowing they will have to be more clinical in front of goal at Cressing Road tomorrow.

The Beavers have only scored three goals in four games, two of those from set pieces, and giving the records of teams around them, Dowse knows the team needs goals if they want to be successful this year.

It's been a long while since we last played Braintree, back in 2011, and we've never had a great deal of success against them, just 6 victories in 21 matches.

The Essex club went down 5-3 to East Thurrock Utd on a Tuesday despite the Rocks keeper having to go off due to injury and an outfield player in goal. No doubt that will rankle with the Iron, who would have expected a better result in the circumstances.

Admission at Cressing Road for the 3pm kickoff will be £14 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under 18 and for those not able to go all that way, there will be the usual text commentary via Twitter on the club's account @hrbfc from about 2-30.

UPDATE: the club have been informed that this game will be the featured highlight game on the BT Sports highlight show this weekend...
