Mark Harper added three new names to his squad ahead of Saturday’s Ryman Premier League opener against Hastings United at Beveree.
The new arrivals are Anson Cousins, Malvin Kamara and Joe Benjamin, in addition Billy Jeffreys resigned with the club following his return from America where he was coaching over the summer.
Benjamin is a 21 year old striker who started out at Northampton where he made seven appearances between 2008-2010 as well as having loan spells at Eastbourne Borough. Following his release from Northampton he has had spells at Ebbsfleet United, Boreham Wood and AFC Hornchurch. Last season he played in the Blue Square South for both Chelmsford City and Tonbridge Angels.
Kamara is a 28 year old right back with over 150 football league appearances to his name for Wimbledon, MK Dons, Cardiff City, Port Vale and Huddersfield. More recently he has appeared for Tamworth and last year made 25 appearances for Lewes in the Ryman Premier League and is an excellent replacement for the now departed Lewis Ferrell.
Anson Cousins is a 20 year old left sided player who has impressed during recent games both at left back and left midfield with his pace and work rate. Previously he was with Sutton United.
Centre back Billy Jeffreys also committed himself to the club for the coming season after an excellent debut season for the 21 year old former Millwall and Ashford Town player.
Negotiations are still on going with other players and there may be a couple more additions to the squad ahead of Saturday’s opening game.
